  • I'm a newbie....

    Hi everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you for allowing me to join your forum.
My name is Christina and I've been a scrollsaw pattern designer for about 2 years now..........I host my own free pattern forum.
About 2 years ago my mom sent me a Rigid 16" scrollsaw for Christmas and I've never had the chance to use it. Either I didn't have a place to use it or the finances to buy wood.
Now I have the wood, the place and the saw...........I gotta figure out how to use it now......lol. Then I stumbled upon your forum and thought OBOY!

Do you all share patterns here? If so, I would be glad to share some of my own........mostly portrait style, some ornaments. I'm also working on a book of pin up girl patterns too......both vintage and contemporary.
Well anyway............hello, glad to be here.
    Christina

      Welcome to the forum Christina.

There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this site but I don't remember much discussion of scroll saw use.

If you google: scroll saw patterns or scroll saw clubs or scroll saw forums

you will find a lot of information about your craft.

You are still welcome to participate here and share your craft with us.

Welcome, Christina! There hasn't been a lot of scroll saw discussion here, but that can always change. Personally, I've always wanted to know how to use a scroll saw. I don't currently have one, but it's on my list of wishes. I hope you hang out and participate. Good to have you here.

I put it all back together better than before. There\'s lots of leftover parts.

          Hi Christina and welcome

You'll find over time that this forum is pretty much anything (within reason) goes. I didn't know that there was a Ridgid scroll saw and can't find a current model. I do own a small Delta and have enjoyed doing some creative work with it. I'm sure there are other more serious (than me) woodworkers on this forum that own and use a scroll saw. Do you have any good books on them?

Charlie, are you sure you got the right link? I didn't know Max joined that site. He is on Tool Info Forums. We have scroll saw users there.
