• TS 3612

Hey Jake,

Maybe I missed this before and if so.....sorry. I didn't pick up any hites when doing a search so.......

I just saw in the Ridgid NEW PRODUCTS - COMING SOON section an "ALL NEW" table saw listed as model TS 3612. I looks like the 2424 with the fence shifted to the right but the "all new" notation begs an answer to what is "all new" about it???

The TS3612 has a new fence system with a new micro-adjust and improved alignment. Other changes include an improved trunnion micro-adjust and improve bevel stops.

According to Jake it should be priced LESS THAN a TS2424.

The price on the TS3612 will remain the same as the TS2424.

Sorry no plans for a 3624 at the moment.

Hi All
I have waited this long would I be smart waiting for the TS3612 or should I jump on the TS2424 with all the extra goodies they are throwing in, Mitre clamp, dust collector, Dado insert?
Thanks again for all your help.

I have been waiting for the local Delta repair center's annual sidewalk sale which is tomorrow. Last year Reconditioned Delta contractors with 30" Bessmeyer fences went for around $600 .

I'm sold on the TS2424 but everyone tells me to wait and see what is available tomorrow as Delta is a much better machine. I'm not convinced but my friends make a strong case for t-mitre slots, cast iron trunnions, solid extension tables, better fence, and Delta versus Sears Tablesaw reputation.

If I don't buy a Delta I would like to buy the the TS2424 unless you guys say wait for the TS3612

Jake,

Does the TS 3612 have wider rails than the 2424? In the picture it looks like it has 36" to the right of the blade...or were the existing rails just shifted?

Jake I show the rdigid ts3612 to my mom I came very close to get the new rails, but when the left side wasn't the 24" it went right out the window.

Why would anyone care what the left side rip capacity is on a left-tilt saw? I can't think of a single reason to put the fence over there.
