    Is there a way to straighten a board that has a twist to it,
    using the planer.
    I recieved my new rigid 4330 yesterday, and tried a piece of pine I had in the junk pile, it had a twist to it so was wondering if this could be remove so as to have a thinner but usable piece. the piece in question is 24 inches long.

    PS sure makes a mess when the vacuum is not connected

    It can be done using a planer sled jig. Search for planer sled and you will lots of info on how to make them. Its pretty easy to do, in fact I made one yesterday.
