  • DAdo Blades

I have a 10" Compound Mitre Saw from Rigid. I would lik eto run a Dado blade on it. Can this be done?
    also,
What is the Maximum groove one can cut with a single pass on a dado?

Wrong tool! While I've seen dados cut using a slider, they don't use dado sets---just the stock saw blade. It's just not a great idea, even if the stacked set would fit, which I don't think it would. Use a router.

SO your saying a router is the better animal?

I'm willing to go with that. question is:
What is the largest "groove" one can cut with a router and secondly. how deep and wide can you go on one pass?

      I need to make a groove approx. 1" deep x 2" wide.
I'd like to do that in one pass.
      Thanks

You could make a jig to make that cut with a router but I certainly wouldn't recommend that you make a cut that deep in just one pass.
