          That Northfield Heavy Duty 24", that's a nice machine. Play heck getting a mobile base for one though, at 2200 pounds.

          Viperbrat, need clues on what you're doing. The Ridgid 6" is an excellent 6" jointer, in my experience. But if all your intended use calls out for a larger machine, you won't be happy with it. Spending money for a machine that won't do the job isn't a real good economic decision.

            Would be nice though.........

            But, I'll keep on saying this. After looking at a ton of 6" jointers, the Rigid came out on top IMHO. You will not be disapointed buying one............
