  • TS2400 - cleaning around the motor

I have the TS2400. I've noticed the Ridgid stand is open below the saw. Mine is mounted on a rolling cabinet for a stand. It works well, but solid top doesn't allow the dust to fall. I clean around the motor, with air, after each use. My question is, will a solid base lead to problems, such as heat build-up or trapping to much dust, etc. Any advise is appreciated. I am new to the forum and am not sure what the graemlins and UBB code is for. I hope this works.

    Sriver,

Welcome to the forums. If you are using a dust collection system, I wouldn't be concerned about dust. Additionally there are enough gaps in the housing to allow air in to cool the motor, so heat shouldn't be a problem.

[edit]needed to fix a signifigant typo (shouldn't instead of should)
