  • Right side extension of table saw

I checked the flatness of the saw and found that the far bottom right side of the right extension is not flat with the rest of the saw. The left extension and the main table are flat and the far right top of the right extension is flat. I have loosened and readjusted but still have about 1/16 gap. Would putting a shim at the bottom of the bolt cause the bottom right corner to come up to the same height of the rest of the wing?

Yes, it will work. You will probably need about .008" or so. An aluminum soda can is about .007" but the aluminum may compress, so it may take a little more.
