  • Jake, TP1300 Set Up Instructions

    Hi,

When I set up my TP1300 and adjusted the in and out feed tables according to directions, the machine produced 3 inches of snipe. The board was smooth but I did not like the idea of wasting 6 inches of wood on each board planed.

With the tables raised - maybe a quarter turn at most - snipe literally disappeared. I have only planed a few boards but the results are very good.

Jake, I think the set up instructions should be changed. I doubt I would have gotten such good results without having read this set up suggestion on these message boards. My 2 cents.

    Best regards,

    Henry

    Henry,

Thanks for the suggestion. In most units, the instructions as written seem to work fine, but every so often, it takes a bit of tweaking from there.

Jake, as I get further into woodworking I am finding that *tweaking* and learning how to control and combine the tweaks is what determines your skill level. Thanks for responding.

      Best regards,

      Henry
