  • Homemade jigs?

Is there any one place I can look and find all sorts of jigs for table saw? What I am looking for are well detailed instructions on how to make them. I am a real beginner and need them detailed. Had an old cheap tablesaw that was not very accurate, but retired it and now have a Ridgid TS3660 which is a whole world difference. This is a REAL table saw compared to my old one. Thanks triker

Start here and if you don't find what you need, you don't need it. LOL Check all the pages because there are lots of free plans there too.http://plans.the3house.com/pages/all...cessories1.htm

Depends on what you are looking for. Go to the Tips and Techniques section of the forum and check out Niki's stuff. He has a jig for just about everything and is very detailed in his discriptions on how to reproduce them. Some of his ideas are down right brilliant.

Here was a link to a post listing some of Niki's jigs.
I really wish Niki would write a book, I know I would surely buy
        one.

            Re: Homemade jigs?

Not on-line but here are two good books you can easily locate through Amazon or Abebooks:

Kelley Maher's "The Tablesaw" which is a good primmer on use and basic jigs.

And "Cutting Edge Table Saw Tips and Tricks" by Kenneth Burton. This one is quite jig-centric.

Both books should be available used for a little less money than new. Might even be at a public library near you.

Plenty of plans for jigs are online, although you have to search a bit. Google is your friend The best place I've seen for a central location is probably Fine Woodworking's site, but it'll cost you a subscription fee.
