  • Ridgid Hole Saw?

Does anyone know if Ridgid makes a 4 1/4 " diameter hole saw that is deeper than 2"?

I am in the irrigation maintenance business and I am looking for a tool to use with a cordless drill to remove overgrown sod from around sprinkler heads.

    Any other suggestions are welcomed!

    Thanks,

    Ros

Try a weed trimmer and if it can use it some 0.065 or 0.080 line. That should more or less work, and is less back pain for you. I doubt a few smacks with the line will damage them. Maybe borrow the weed trimmer if you don't have one.

Hold trimmer on a 45 angle and work around in a circle. It will take some practice but it should work.

        Re: Ridgid Hole Saw?

I have only been on a golf course a few times in my life but my Dad was when he was young had a choice to farm or to golf on the pro circuit, in 1940 the money was nearly the same, if you were good, so he farmed instead.

so you ask what does that have to do with the discussion, probably little but one thing they do at pro courses is to change the location of the hole on the green, and they use a hole cutter that is designed to cut an then put in the plastic cup,

I would guess that would work for what I am thinking you want to do with the hole saw.

there are many diffrnet kinds and types of tools to do this job, a few pictures of some of the diffrnet types.

this place has replacement cutters one may save some money and make your own handle,
