  • BS1400 Tire

    Hi All,
I'm now the proud owner of a used BS1400. It needed blade support bearings, which I replaced. The only problem now is that the tire on the upper wheel moves toward the housing when the saw is running. The blade stays centered and everything is aligned correctly. If the tire didn't finally rub against the housing, it would slide completely out from under the blade. The tire still requires stretching to get it around the wheel (so I don't think it's too loose). I tried flipping the tire inside out, but no change.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Tim,

Try using a wood Dowel placed between the tire and the wheel and apply a tire adhesive with a small brush. Moving the dowel along the circumference of the wheel will expose the next area to cover.

DO NOT DO THIS WITH THE WHEEL ATTACHED TO THE SAW!

    Allways practice good safety!
