  • riving knife on new RIDGID table saws

Does anyone know if the new Granite table saw from Ridgid will have a riving knife? It's my understanding that all new saws (any make) as of this year are supposed to have a riving knife. I could be overlooking it in the specs, but I do not see any description of one. Thank you.

"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."

All new table saws will have a riving knife. They seem to really help with safety. Red

Ridgid does not offer a low profile knife yet. Ashman is thinking about tracing it out and cutting his own. Good idea IMHO, will do likewise.
