    Either I'm doing a poor job of trying to make a point, or nobody is listening.

    I've been a firm supporter of the 3612 design, mainly for the improved fence. BUT, if all you can get for your display model 3612 or 2424, is 2424 rails/fence, I'll firmly stick with recomending the Biese'. Also, an added plus, is that the longer rails will give you a larger extension, if you opt for 50".

    But agree---the biggest value of the 3612 was it's fence design, since few saws offered as good a fence with that price level of a saw. But, if you can't get the 3612 fence---well it does change things doesn't it!

      I received a call from the Ridgid parts distributor, a set of rails for a TS3612 has materialized and they will be sending them to me this week. If the rails turn out to be for something else, I'll follow your collective recommendations and go with the Beisemeyer fence and rails. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for an interesting discussion.
