    Re: metal cutting

I was considering starting a shelving project using some angle iron I already have. I do have a hacksaw that will do the job with a lot of time and elbow grease, but I also have my miter saw I might possibly be able to use. Is it possible to safely use an abrasive blade in my saw to do this?

      NO!
Go to harbor freight tools and for 20 bucks buy a 4 1/2" angle grinder and
cut off wheels for metal, then have fun safely cutting the angle iron

Ok, sounds good to me. When I'm ready to start the project I'll make a trip over there first. I'd probably have to spend about $20 in hack saw blades anyway to finish the job if I did it by hand.

I just looked at Harbor Freight's website and I just missed using a 20% off coupon with no minimum
