    The quality of the craftsman is more important than the quality of the tool. Owning an airplane doesn't necessarily make you a pilot!

      i use the incra (2000) heavy and very accurate. i did manage to have decent cuts with the stock gauge and a 18inch wood face. just use a square etc. to confirm you are at 90, 45 etc after every adjustment and lock it tight. if you do use a wood face just be sure to use a good (ensure it is flat) hardwood. i have since retired the old miter to use on my router table to help push stock etc.

        The Incra 1000SE is back on sale at Amazon for $104 with free shipping. Its a good buy in that price range.
