  • Ridgid Joiner Mobile Base

I'm looking to add a mobiel base to my new Ridgid 6" jointer that I picked up in the Home Depot Power Tool event.

I'm sure many of you have a mobile base installed on this jointer, and I'm looking for some help. I've seen the HTC mobile base that seems like a good option, or maybe a home made version.

I noticed while assembling the jointer that it might be possible to replace the four leveling feet on the jointer with some locking casters, although I'm concerned this may make it too unstable.

    Any help is appreaciated. Thanks.

I've seen a few examples over the years. Here are some that I googled:

      i use this one:

infinitely adaptable, reasonably priced and very solid. also,if you want to see something different, try this:

check out post #9 in that thread. although the herc-u-lift is not designed for the jointer, i guess this proves that if you want to make something work badly enough, you can. still not sure how he activated the lift and relaese mechanisms, given the closed leg stand of the jointer.
there's a solution to every problem.....you just have to be willing to find it.

I have the HTC 2000 mobile base on all my shop tools. They are great. I bought them from Rockler for $59.99 a piece. If you not in a hurry, wait until Rockler has a free shipping offer.
