  • Rigid RAS Dust Collection

If I hook the small dust port on my radial arm saw (RS1000)to my dust collector, will it work effectively?

If so, where do you get hose to fit the odd sized port on the saw? It seems to be about 1 3/4 O.D.

    Thanks

    Troubleshooter,

The dust port on the blade guard is primarily used for ripping. This will not help collect the dust that comes of the back of the blade when crosscutting. Here is one I made out of some scraps for mine. This has a 5" hole that is reduced to a standard 4" for dust collection. (The hose I found at Lowes in the swimming pool supply section).
