  • 3650 Motor

    Hey Ya'll,
My HD hasn't put a 3650 on the floor yet & I can't tell if the "enclosed motor", is just dust protected or is it actually within the cabinet of the saw & not hanging off of the back. I'm having a square footage "challenge" and might need to reconsider a purchase.

    Thanx!

    Okay,
Finally got the manual for the 3650 to open...answered my question. It hangs off of the back too & is not on-board like the dewalt

Local HD here doesn't have a 3650 on display yet. I'm curious, is the TEFC motor on the 3650 an Emerson motor?

The display I look at did not have any kind of ID tag on the motor. I looked, hoping it would show were and who made the motor. It looked a lot like the motor on my Ridgid drill press. I assumed it was not made by Emerson.

I think that pretty much tells the story. The motor on my 3612 clearly states on the label that it's made by Emerson.
