    Hey Ya'll,
    My HD hasn't put a 3650 on the floor yet & I can't tell if the "enclosed motor", is just dust protected or is it actually within the cabinet of the saw & not hanging off of the back. I'm having a square footage "challenge" and might need to reconsider a purchase.

    Okay,
    Finally got the manual for the 3650 to open...answered my question. It hangs off of the back too & is not on-board like the dewalt

      Local HD here doesn't have a 3650 on display yet. I'm curious, is the TEFC motor on the 3650 an Emerson motor?
      Teach your kids about taxes..........eat 30 percent of their ice cream.

        The display I look at did not have any kind of ID tag on the motor. I looked, hoping it would show were and who made the motor. It looked a lot like the motor on my Ridgid drill press. I assumed it was not made by Emerson.

          I think that pretty much tells the story. The motor on my 3612 clearly states on the label that it's made by Emerson.
          Teach your kids about taxes..........eat 30 percent of their ice cream.
