I saw this product at the WW show in Dallas last weekend and was pleased to see that it seemed so simple to jont the edge(s) of a board, even when very rough cut on the edge (by using the circ saw attachment first to straight line it). My question is, has anyone bought this product and used it in your shop? Are the glue joints perfect like they were in the demo?

I've seen this and was not impressed at all. My father however was wanted one so bad he could taste it.

I say spend the $ on a real jointer that can be used for much more than one function and takes up less space. I only see this item coming in "handy" when working on-site so you don't have to lug around a full size jointer. JMO

John Lucas has a , web page ,where he does a complete evaluation of this product and many many others. There is a link on his site to the review and demonstration of Jointability. He is very favorable in his opinon toward that product. You may find it useful to check out his site in general and regarding this product in particular.

      Good Luck,

Thanks what a site that guy has. I figured the tool was a good deal and a damn site easier to fiddle with than a jointer. I'm definitely sold on the idea now...just have to get the big deposit on the entertainment center and library job to pay for it...that should be November around Thanksgiving. Since I'm going to use the tool on the go as well as in the shop this really appeals to me. Thanks again for the link.
