  • TP1300- Changed blades- Now Sniping

I got a TP1300 primarily to strip paint of of trimwork. I just did my first blade change (Hit a nail hidden under paint) and I thought I did it right, but I'm getting a lot of sniping, and I didn't have that problem before. I put the blades back in with the sharp side down. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The TP1300 is darn near fool proof! You mostly likely did the blade installation correctly. If it was wrong, you would get a different set of problems.

I would say check the I/O tables to make sure no debri is between them and the stops. Make sure the head lock lever is engaging fully. The manual will detail steps needed for adjustment, it's very easy to do.
