Double check and make sure that the Allen socket set screw(PN 141669-31) that secures the roll pin(PN 803422-166) that the blade guard attaches too is tightened down firmly. The one on my 3612 loosened up somehow which allowed the roll pin to move which moved the blade guard/splitter. All I can say is the blade guard did its job excellently and I don't want that to ever happen again. Reinstalled the screw using Loctite this time. Just to clarify, I'm not talking about the thumb screw that you use to put on and take off the blade guard with but the screw that holds in the pin that you mount the blade guard on.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the "John" and renamed it the "Jim". I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
