• Ridgid planer

I have the Ridgid planer, and while checking the infeed and outfeed tables to make sure they were not the cause of my increased snipe, I realized the table beneath the rollers and cutterhead (don't know what it's called but its shiny is not flat. Is that OK? It seems it should be flat. Anyhow, I do I get it replaced? Or do I take back the planer to HD and get another?

The chrome finished wear plate has to be perfectly flat. I'm just surprised that your's isn't. It's held in place by side brackets with 4 or so hex headed set screws. Do they seem to be located correctly?

If you can't correct the problem by reseating the side brackets, I'd take it back to HD for a swap.

Thanks, took it back this morning, and after consulting with 3 managers HD galdy exchanged it.
