  • R4511 riving knive

I searched the forum for a thread concerning the R4511 riving knife, I could not find one.
I want to make a low profile riving knife, does any one as a drawing available for it?
If not, does any one can tell me how to take the blade protector apart without destroying it?
I think that the lbade protector sucks so I wonder if anyone already tried to mount the Craftsman 10-inch Contractor Table Saw blade protector ( which is very sweet, in two parts) on this saw?
    Thank you for your help.

Lee also sold riving knives for the 4511, but I can't locate it on the site ATM. I've got one from him and it works good. Powder coated and everything. Shoot him an email if you wanna go that route and see if he's still making them.

The shark guard is really good, if you want to go that route. The guard can be removed so that it can be used as a low profile riving knife alone.

Purplev made one for his R4511....might be something useful in his thread about it.

I saw a picture of one of Lee's R4511 riving knives and it was vry impressive. I plan on ordering one shortly. Think the price was also very very reasonable... $25-$35???

Agree, one of the first things I bought for the saw. Great product at a fair price.

Lee's look very nice. Saw a few weeks back someone that had used an old TK 10" saw blade for material to make his own.
