    Re: 4511 vibration

Just about any industrial belt manufacturer makes a "300J6" as it is a standard size. By the way, it is also known as (in the metric world) a "6PJ762"

It doesn't have to be Gates. For example, Goodyear would be another option.

I got mine at Rocky Mountain Supply in Fort Collins. They had to pull it from Denver, but I got it the same day. It was about $20-25 and was a European mfg. poly belt. My original belt was smoother after I shaved a wide spot off, but the saw runs like silk with the poly belt.

Looks like I need to get a replacement belt as well, but I have a question. I've seen a couple of posts about 'poly' belts. Is that different from a standard belt? How? And how would one ensure they get one instead of the other when purchasing a replacement?

First, find a supplier. They will be able to tell you if the product they have for you will be poly or rubber. It was printed on my new belt. Plus, it was physically lighter the the OEM.

I'm ordering the GATES 300J6 from my local NAPA store.
Here's a picture of description/specifications of the belt.

I got mine at McMaster-Carr. Never ordered from them, they're in SoCal so shipping was just over $4. It was a Goodyear belt.

They don't do shipping estimates at all. Just have to order it.

I went to Napa, Kragen but they couldn't get it on their screen so they said they couldn't order it.
