Hey Big,

Congrats on the MSUV. You've still got the packing box in the garage...throw it out...you know you won't be sending it back! This looks like a serious job site system, too big for my garage, takes up almost the same room as as TS.

Little Helper must be your mate when it comes to loading up and carrying things. Do you let her get in on the action?

I, too, bought one of these a couple of months ago and it is, indeed, the perfect miter saw stand.

And the interesting thing is that it is great for small shops, since it only takes up space when you need to use the saw, and when you need to use the saw, you're going to take up the same amount of space with something jury-rigged to hold the stock anyhow. And when you have a messy job, you just roll the saw out to the driveway, forget about hooking up the vacuum, and then blow it out with compressed air when you're through.

Big, thanks for the info/review. How much did the MSUV cost by itself?

The MSUV cost $199.99 at Home Depot... I had such a great conversation with the tool department manager about wood working that he said hay let me make a price adjustment on that for you and gave me $20.00 off just for the heck of it without asking... What a great guy...

I knew this free stand with the MS1290 deal was coming, and every effort I put forth to come up with a means to get it. It's just not there. Though the MS1060 I have now on a universal stand is a super saw, I've out grown it. And the RAS won't cut quite the same things the 1290 will with the 12" blade.

I sure wish the lottery god would rain on me just once, just 600 measly little dollars. And it sure would free up some space, that's for sure!

Has anyone had any experience with the new Ridgid SCMS or read any reviews? If the saw is good, this sounds like too good of a deal to pass up, but how do I convince my wife of that!? Especially after I just dropped 2.5K on a home gym.

I want to sell my Ridgid Radial Arm Saw so that may help. Anyone interested?

I loooked the saw over yesterday in Mesquite at the HD Supply store...what a deal! It is built very well and it would surprise me if it weren't a very accurate saw.

I'd love to have bought this setup, but I needed it in January and just couldn't wait.

I did find one drawback, the saw weighs a ton!
