  • Finally got Verified!

Just got an E-mail notification from Ridgid today:

    Dear RIDGID Customer:
Thank you for purchasing RIDGID power tools. Your RIDGID Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA) registration has been verified! Your identification numbers are below.

Only thing is, I bought my saw and planer in May of 2009!

I hope customer service responds faster if I ever need their help!

Don't count on it! I've had an issue witha defective battery charger, I've made several calls to customer service and still did not get a reply from them. The service center blamed Ridgid, and Ridgid blamed the service center. It took 3-4- months to get a charger back. And then I got a REBUILT one not a new one like I bought, I did not buy a used charger. Last time I buy Ridgid. I started to buy Millwauke.

Milwaukee are owned by TTI. TTI sells power tools under the RIDGID brand, just as they do with AEG (a former large German industrial firm) outside NA. In effect, you will buying the same thing in a red case, not an orange one.

Have a look here and see if you recognize anything.

Whomever the maker is, at some point when a part is replaced it will be with a used/refurbished product. They are not going to keep a warehouse full of new assemblies indefinately. Their obligation is to get you a "working" replacement.

That's about their turn around time, nine months from purchase.
