  • Using a 24 volt battery on an 18 volt tool???

Has anyone done this? I have a R8452 Circular Saw that seems a bit under powered . I brought it to my local Ridgid repair center and they said it checked out ok. So I'm wondering what issues if any might come from using a stronger batter 24v rather then the 18v? I'm sure "Tim the ToolMan Taylor" would approve, but as I remember... many of his ideas did not work out so well. Gosh, I miss that show!!

The R8452 circular saw is part of the 18V lineup and unless your saw states "Max Select Dual Voltage" its probably not going to connect with the 24V battery without modifications
