  • Table Saw Vibration

I just setup my table saw (TS-2412) last night. I turned it on with a new Freud 80 tooth Diablo blade and noticed the bench was vibrating. I must say everything was tight and the bench has a good ground. Is this normal for a table saw this size and weight? It must be very difficult to work with the portable ones as I expect them to vibrate even more.

Unfortunately it is hard to describe the amount of acceptable vibration. With the poly-v belt drive that your saw has, it should run smoother than a standard v-belt drive.

The belt has been wrapped up in the package for quite a while, so it has some set to it. In a few days that set will work itself out and your saw should smooth right out. If it doesn't call 1-800-4RIDGID and talk to customer service
