  • TS3650 packing grease stains on rails

    Hello, all--

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but I'm kind of anal, so I'm going to ask it anyway.

I just set up my TS3650 last weekend and love it so far. I noticed that I have some grease smudges on the front rail and fence from assembly (transferred when unpacking the table extensions). These smudges, although not damaging to the saw itself, are unsightly. 409 refuses to remove them from the aluminum. Anyone know of a cleaner that will get these spots off with oout damaging the finish?

    Thanks all!

try WD40 or one of those degreaser types. This is what most people use to remove grease from tabletops, I'm sure it will work on rails too

Kerosene will remove any and all packing grease. I tried cleaning the grease off some extensions last night. Got much of it but there were still dark stains on some portions. I took some Kero and Bam!, the grease and stains were gone.
