  • TS2400 problem

Hi All, I've got an old (pre-orange) TS2400 table saw with a developing problem. I have a varying or harmonic vibration that sounds like a possible bearing problem. I removed the motor and it's bearing seem to spin fine with no appartent wear, noise or roughness. I suspect the arbor bearings or gearbox is the source of the vibration, it appears to be very dry and without any grease at least on the end of the motor shaft. I am also having a small problem with the cuts, I get some small gouging (for lack of a better term) on the cut line. The blade does not seem to have any wobble or clearance when I put pressure on it or try to move it (saw off) manually. Anybody have any experience with this or any ideas? Thanks for your replys.

    Phil
