  • Difference between 4510, 4511, TS2410, TS2400LS

What are the differences between these Ridgid saws? I'm guessing that they are variations of the same basic saw. My local hardware store has the 2410 on display and the 4510 in the actual crate.

    Thanks,

the 2400, 2410 and 4510 are all portable saws. the 4511 is a hybrid table saw which, although mobile on it's herc-u-lift, is, at close to 500 lbs, definately not portable. the 2400 and 2410 are older models with the 4510 being the newest version of ridgid's portable table saw. here are their owners manuals:

    http://www.ridgid.com/ASSETS/DBFC5B5...LS_213_eng.pdf

and here is the data for the 4510. oddly, the manual for the 4510 is not on the ridgid website:

and here is the data for the 4511. like the 4510, it's manual is not on the ridgid website:

      Re: Difference between 4510, 4511, TS2410, TS2400LS

I purchased a R4510 refurbished from CPO. What was delivered was a box labeled on the outside R4510. What was found on the inside was a manual for a TS2410LS and the saw was labeled TS2410LS. Because I can not find a manual for a R4510 online, I don't know what the differences are between the two models.

Online I have learned that the TS2410LS is an older model than the R4510. Other than that I really am having difficulty finding out what the differences are.

Could it be that they take the older TS2410LS and upgrade them to match the current R4510 model?

Called Ridgid directly didn't help and CPO directed me to go to Ridgid.

Any help here would be appreciated.

well, ultimately some HD stores still have the TS2400ls on the floor, but the 4510 can be found in others. i've not seen them both in the same store--anyone care to weigh in on the advantages of one over the other?

The 4510 boasts the new split saw guard and riving knife set up. That is the biggest difference between the 2410 and the 4510. It also has a larger paddle on/off switch and the fence is housed internally now when not in use on the 4510 compared to the brackets on the right wing of the 2410. The cart that comes on the 4510 has been redesigned giving it a substantially wider foot print that the 2410 making it a little more stable.Other than that after using both saws these are the only noticable differences between the two. My preference is the 2410. The saw is heavier making it more stable IMO

            Hope this helps
