  • New Freud LU84R011 question

    Hi all,

I just purchase a Freud saw blade LU84R011, I have not taken the plastic that covers the blade.

I notice some black spots on some of the teeth, I am wondering if these spots which looks like burns, can be a sign that the blade was overheated and the carbide is compromised, is this normal. Should I just send it back?

    Thanks in advance,

If the spots you're refering to are located in the area where the teeth are brazed to the blades plate then that is normal and you don't need to worry about it.

The spots are actually on the face of the teeth.

I would suggest you ask your question on Woodnet, Charles M. (a reprehensive of Freud) will usually respond quite promptly to Freud questions.
