  • ridgid saw table problem

The gray "finish" on the saw table of my 3 yr old contractor saw is coming off on the wood that I am cutting. Anyone have similar problem or know how to fix?

Contractor saws have an unfinished cast iron surface (TS3612, TS3650). Do you mean a portable jobsite saw like the TS2400?

The portables have aluminum tops. What you are seeing is metal being transferred (top must be oxidized). Get some Johnsons paste wax and wax the table top. Will make it nice and slick and seal it as well.

I used to have that same problem with an aluminum router table I once had. tomapple's advice is spot on and this is maintenance that you'll have to pull on a fairly regular basis.
