  • Duplicating a guitar neck

    Hi all,

Anyone have an idea of how i could duplicate a guitar neck with power tools? I have made a few necks over the years by hand carving them, but it seems there should be a way to duplicate a favorite neck (at least the semi-circle roundness of the back part of it) with some power tool. I've searched for anything having to do with duplicating woodwork but come up empty except for lathe duplication... any thoughts or ideas would be great.

    Thanks

Karma, About the only power tool I can think of that would help you would be a Bandsaw. The least expensive one would do just fine. Other than that I use a spokeshave. A Random Orbital Sander would be useful also (small hand tool)cost about $50. Or perhaps a small B&D detail sander, even cheaper.
