  • "Rough cut" with Tommy Mac

Anyone caught this new WWing show on PBS yet?

I watched the other day and its OK, too much jabber and not enough about the actual woodworking. And if he didn't say 'guys' at least 60 times in that 24 minute episode he didn't say it at all. At the end I felt hurried through the project with only an video outline of what needed to be done to complete it.

But right now I'm neutral, only seen one episode so far, I'll give it more time but the presentation style to me is not as comfortable as Norm and the NYW.

What's your take on "Rough Cut"
"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."
    John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)

Yes, runs at too fast of a pace. Trying to get too much other stuff in besides the actual woodworking.

The show is nothing like the NYW. I've watched the two episodes so far and not to keen on what I've seen. I'm going to give it some more time before I change the DVR.
