    What are the thoughts and concerns for this after market low-profile riving knife for the R4511?

    Well, it's cheaper than Lee Styron's (of Shark Guard fame) riving knife, but not powder coated (Lee's is). And it's safer than not using a splitter at all. I know Styron has been in business for some time and has lot's of happy customers who he continues to try and please - not saying that the ebay-er won't and isn't, just saying...

        I can't speak to the item you're referring to, it looks like's it's nicely made...

        I did just receive my riving knife from Lee this past week and can say the quality and finish is exceptional. Does it have to be powder coated? Not necessarily but it sure looks nice.
