Not being a plumber, but curious

What is a hydraulic toilet lift and what is it used for?

(Today is March 3rd, not April 1st so I will ask)

similar to how they lift your car to work on/ under it.

      i'll dig up a photo/ link.

basically a 3 wheel cart with a little bottle jack. the cart straddles the toilet rim and allows you to jack up the toilet without spilling, wheeling it out of the way and then setting it in place without guessing where the bolts are. really useful with large/ heavy old school 1 pc. toilets.

What a relief... When I read this thread and it said, "...looking for a hydraulic toilet lift".

For some reason mt mind inserted the word "lid". I thought someone was looking for a hydraulic toilet lid lift.

I know we've gotten lazy, but come on!

Congrats Rick on the great engineering and invention!

Thanks for the explanation and pics.

I kinda thought that it was something to lift up a toilet, but with today's two piece models I couldn't figure out why.

i was not the inventor, but rather the only one to possibly ever buy 1 took it right off the trade floor show.

at 1 time i was using it for r&r 1 pc. toilet repairs.

            never saw another 1.

That doesn't look like it would be too hard to make. I'd be nice to have, but that takes all the fun (backbreaking work) out of lifting toilets.
