I have only made a few cuts on my new TS3650 and I am in the process of making some new inserts. I just picked up the Freud SD208 and want to make sure I am setting it up correctly. I understand inside blade, chipper and then outside blade, but what about alignment of the teeth / chippers?

    Thanks for your help.

Teeth---particularly the carbides, should not touch. The chipper teeth should be as close to evenly spaced around the circumference as possible.

I also recall a post that stated you need to tighten more than finger tight - as many have recommended with a single blade - when setting up a dado head. I always use a wrench and a stick of oak to keep it from spinning.

        Best regards,

        Henry
