  • Ridgid table saw fence help.....

Just purchased a used TS R4511....noticed on this forum that a few woodworkers have beefed up the fence. Why is this necessary and if so, how can you read the correct distance from blade to fence? Only used is twice and love it...sold a smaller TS to buy this one. Just joined the forum. Thanks to all for any replys.............

Re: Ridgid table saw fence help.....

I wouldn't say it's "necessary"...but the original fence is a little light weight. It's totally serviceable though.

I didn't like the two piece rails myself. I just didn't like that "bump" every time the fence slide over the joint. I retrofitted a Delta T-2 fence that I had on my previous saw, and am happy with it. I kept the original fence, and bolted a sacrificial face to it, so when I need a sac fence, I don't have to rig and clamp, just swap fences.

Congrats on the new saw.......I love mine.

New to form and need some help. I have a old ts24001 table saw that I just got back from a theft situation and the cops could not find my rip fence. I have looked and called ridgid , ryobi and can not find one anywhere. Obsolete. Where can I find one? Or can I.or is there another fence I can use. Thanks for any help.
