I found it impossable to use a square to get the blade at a perfect 90 degrees to the fence. This is my cure:

Just some scraps and some hardware. Using the nuts on the threaded rod on both sides of the block, it was easy to move it just a touch one way or the other. By using a piece of plywood as big as the saw could cut, I cut on one side of the blade, then flipped the scrap over and ran the blade down the edge. I marked the edge on both sides so not to rotate it. When the blade ran the edge on the plywood on both sides of the blade without cutting into the plywood, it was dead on with the fence. Lock the arm, tighting the set screws and your all set.
