  • Router Fence for Table Saw Extension

I am going to make a router table extension for my R4512 this weekend. I am looking for advise on what people do for a router fence when used on a table saw extension. I picked up a pair of these band saw fences as well as a 36" Pro Grip clamp. I modified the two fences so they can be mounted on the side of the clamp instead of right on top of it to allow for clearance of the router bit and the two fences slide along the clamp to provide more or less clearance. Now I have to try to find some way to attach a dust collection port to the set up.

There have been numerous posts about router table extensions for table saws, but no mention of the fence, or dust collection.

I would love to see some ideas and I will post pictures once I get mine together.

Will your router table be within the confines of the fence rails?
If so, just use your TS fence. That's what I do.

Table saw fence, and bolt on a sacrificial fence using the slots in the fence and cut a notch in it.

If you use the table saw fence, what do you do for dust collection?
