  • A Question About AZEK

I've spent the weekend making planer boards for trolling out of 1" x 8" AZEK.

This may be a bad time to ask but.... DOES IT FLOAT?

    From the Internet:

"I did this with pieces of Azek deck when deciding on what to replace my decomposing composite with and there was virtually no perceivable change to the sample pieces. The samples were left outside, on top of my old deck for over a year. I even threw a 6" piece into my pool and let it float and bob around...again with no change."

If you troll fast enough, it doesn't matter!!

If I were to build a planer board set up it's another easy project. I'd do it in wood, Redwood or Cedar.
