  • TS2424 motor setup

I just purchased the TS2424 and wired it for 220V. When I turn it on the motor jumps and the belt comes off the saw pulley. This does not happen all the time, maybe 1 of 10. Please help.

Most likely the pulleys are not exactly alligned. Double check to make sure that both the motor and arbor pulleys are in good alignment. The second thing to check is the parallelism of the motor shaft to the arbor shaft. If the motor looks as if its turned slightly inward compared to the arbor shaft you can shim it up with washers between the motor base and the motor mount plate on the two screws closest to the motor shaft.

After a closer inspection I noticed you were right about the pulleys not being aligned. After readjusting it works great.

      Thanks!!!!!
