  • jointer application question

I own a Ridgid jointer which i love for woodworking applications. I have a project currently i am doing which involves plexiglass. I do not do enough work with plexiglass to warrant spending the money on a plexi blade. I posted a question for alternatives to buying one and i got one helpful reply which unfortunatly did not give me the quality cut i was looking for.

has anyone used a jointer to square up and clean up plexiglass?

never have, but if I did I would sandwich it between two boards somehow for stability and safety.

Bandsaw works best, LEAVE THE PAPER ON IT when you cut it.
Tablesaw will work with crosscut blade, just clearing the surface to reduce chipping, and keep it moving.
Clean up with sandpaper or flame polish.
