  • JP 0610 Fitted With Casters

    Hey,

Anyone out there tried fitting the JP 0610 with spindle casters with brakes?

Since the Herculift Plus won't work with the JP, or if you're not as lucky as UOWoody is with the help he got in building his mobile base, or going with TFC or the like at a cost of $50 or more is prohibitive...I was thinking of trying the spindle caster idea.

    Thoughts?

Oops sorry, the spindles would be in lieu of the glides/leveling mounts that come with it. I'm just tired of having my wife help me move the darn thing around.

I just tip mine a little and slide my hand truck with a 2X6 on it under the feet and move it wherever I want. I use this method for all my stationary tools.

I mounted the casters onto a piece of 3/4 ply. I then bolted the jointer onto that. It moves around the shop well enough, and locks down great. It also raises it off the ground a bit. You guys know how tall that machine is. I hope this helps.
