          I've recommended the Wood Magazine forum noted above, and I used to frequent the rec.woodworking forums on newsnet (for those pre-WWW users amongst the group) I don't know how active the newsnet group is anymore though, as I've sidelined my wood shop in the garage. The garage has turned into a working garage again...

          Although, I have to agree with the post immediately above. You regular members seem pretty knowledgable and more than willing to share information here. Other than the occasional troll and brand bickering, this is a fun forum to read.
