  • Blade slippage on SS1650 Scroll Saw

I am having trouble getting the lower blade holder to hold on to 2/0 and 3/0 blades. Since I am doing extremely fine fretwork I need to use these very thin blades, so recomending larger blades is out of the question. I tried using self stick very fine sandpaper, but that worked only temporarily. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, etc.??

A couple of tips to get those very small blades to stay in the blocks: 1. Make sure the blade is as far front in the mounting block as possible. 2. if need be you can take a small pair of pliers to tighten further on the knob. Some people just don't have the strength in their fingers to get that knob as tight as it needs to be.

    Hope this helps

Thnaks Jake, I'll give it a try. Up until now I had used the more interior parts of the jaws. Hope it works.
