  • 10 Million Dollar Stick

I have no financial interest with the Fast-cap company!
Anyone here using this tool with their miter saw?
This is made by Fast-cap for videos and details go to their website

That is something Izzy Swan came up with and FastCap now sells.

It works, at least mine does, I made my own.

Thanks for the info. I am seriously considering buying one. The hold-down clamps on my 12" DeWalt slider are totally useless for holding anything securely.

If you look in some of Izzy's old YT videos you will see him using a wooden version of the stick, which is the one I believe he made and then sold to FastCap, or entered into some form of agreement where they make and sell the sticks.

I need to get that. I have a really bad habit of putting my fingers in harm's way, both with the miter saw and table saw. Too many close calls!
You only live once, so play with your tool often.

Maybe they should sue to have the Million Dollar Stick included with every saw sold, same as Steve Goss did with his SawStop technology.

But seriously, it's too bad they aren't available everywhere miter saws are sold. Should be on the shelf right beside the saws.

How many people who are in the market for a miter saw know about FastCap products, maybe 5% I bet.

The biggest problem I've encountered is many times there is nothing to rest the Stick on. Miter saws don't have much of a table or worksurface, and if the piece you're cutting isn't long and/or wide enough for the Stick to rest on it can be difficult to use it properly.

If you miter saw has extension wings as you see in the photo above it's not a problem. But if you are using your miter saw without any extended flat table surface it can be difficult to use the Stick.
