On reflection, you're probably right. After looking over the 5" discs, most of them are the "dustless" variety with the holes. And those holes are positioned just about where I would need to trim.

As long as you purchased disc's without the suction holes (to match with a sander), you'd probably be okay, but what a waste of time and material. Go to Amazon and do a search of 3-inch hook and loop sanding disc, they're not all expensive for a variety pack. I didn't search for any particular 'grit' but you can probably buy them in selective grits too.

I need an assortment of 3" hook & loop wet/dry sanding discs. Looking at what's available, it appears that 5" is the more common size.
Can I simply purchase a 5" pack and trim it down to 3"? Sounds simple enough, but I didn't know if I would be doing something really odd?Tags: None
