  • Rob Cosmans' Ten Tips To Improve Your Hand Planing

Rob just released this video outlining how to get the most from your hand plane.

If you haven't tried lubricating the sole of your hand plane. The stuff he sells is pure magic. In
fact it's called Plane Magic, and it works very well. It is like putting your plane on ice. The friction
is reduced to near nothing. You better have a good hold of your plane or it could end up on the
floor. I've used paraffin wax and other stuff over the years but Plane Magic works better than
anything else I have tried. This stuff is more of a cream with a butter like consistency. You can
find it from a number of sources online. It may also be available in Woodcraft and other brick &
mortar stores but I haven't looked for it there.

Here is the playlist of his videos on hand planing.
